Evansville Philharmonic extends Roger Kalia’s contract through 2029

The Evansville Philharmonic has extended Music Director Roger Kalia's contract for three more years.  The new agreement will keep Kalia in his role through May 2029, according to a community announcement.

Kalia has launched new programs, including the Young Artist Composition Competition and collaborations with the University of Southern Indiana. He has also continued to promote the music of living composers, presenting works by Gabriela Ortiz, Kenji Bunch and Stacy Garrop, among others.

Delighted' with contract extension

After signing the contract, Kalia expressed his excitement about continuing his work with the orchestra.

"I am thrilled and honored to continue serving as Music Director of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra for another three years." he said, according to the announcement.

Executive Director Kimberly Bredemeier also expressed her support for Kalia's continued leadership.

"We’re delighted that Music Director Roger Kalia will continue leading the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra for another three years." she said.
